This is Infinity

December 28th, 2009

From the Artist

This is Infinity is meant to put you in a state of confusion, where you feel lost and alienated from the world you enter. You have to explore your own perception to figure out what you’re seeing, what you’re doing, and what will lead you to progress.

The game can be downloaded: HERE

Cool game. You guys always have the best game experiences on this site so it wasn’t a shock to see a game like this! Not sure if there is a request section but thought this was another game worthy of making it to this site (not spam, just a recommendation). Looking forward to more of cactus’s work. http://www.swingswingsubmarine.com/games/tuper-tario-tros/

It’s definitely confusing, and I can’t tell if I’m ‘winning’ or about to pass out and froth at the mouth (maybe a NES style epilepsy warning is needed?), but I do really like the droning bass. Cool stuff!

I like this game, the abstract, how it confuses the player.

Nevertheless I don’t understand why there are puzzles to solve to go through the game. What the point of challenging the player, what the point of sticking the player in front of a puzzle game ? By forcing the player to understand the rules of the world it breaks the abstract epileptic dream, I think.
