T. Time

T Time

by Kyle Gray

About the Game

Run and jump into high-falutin’ gentlemen to reach critical mass and build up speed while avoiding obstacles.  This game is my attempt at exorcising a horrible pun I caught during the production of Hatsworth while I was designing the outlandish Tea Time sequences.  What better way to get rid of it then to finally make it into something?

The game is “Bare Minimum” in the gameplay sense – you only ever press the space button.  There’s only one level, and the whole experience lasts around a minute.  It took 3 days to make.

How to Play

Press and hold space to build up speed then release.  Press Space after to jump obstacles – that’s it.

Music

A big thanks to The Coconut Monkeyrocket for letting me use “Shufflin’ Dynamo.”  If you dig the music I highly recommend buying the CD and supporting this one-man band.

A lot of fun – nothing wrong with a good (or bad) pun! Very simple, but then, that was what was asked for, right?

Ok, that’s pretty funny. Took a second to guess that by “press select” you meant “press space.” I dig the art work.

Fun game. Like the art – good music too.

3 days for a minute’s entertainment? Always surprises me that producing games take much longer than you’d imagine – even in flash! (Not a criticism, just an observation on a fact of life!)

    Cheers,

Is the broken image at the top of the post, or in the game itself? I see it in Firefox just fine.

T-Time.jpg isn’t showing up for me either, in IE. :( Great game though! Very evocative characters. It’s like that communist bulls smash game mixed with the powerpuff girls or…. something. :D

Turns out the culprit was a large jpeg image saved under CMYK instead of RGB – thanks to everyone who reported it.

Hahaha excellent! Great display of taking a minimum gameplay/input and polishing the core concept until it is dressed with nice art and is fun to play.
