I really like this! It’s surprisingly hard to find a good Robotron-style game, but this fits the bill.

It does seem to slow down quite a bit on my old Pentium 4, though.

I also really like the idea that your enemies become the guys you’re trying to save… and your source of power. It’s a great idea, executed very well here.

Hi Hydra – how far did you manage to get? Most people I tested it on didn’t get past round 3.

I got to level 23 with 6 lives left and a score of 947,100. I gave up. Also the few times I actually died it made the music start stacking.

Great game though. I’d give it four stars.

Thanks all – in terms of the music, I don’t know remember where it came from exactly – possibly somewhere on archive.org – they have a lot of Creative Commons music.

As for the other – well, this month’s theme was Unexperimental Shooter – it don’t get much more unexperimental than Robotron!

Very cool gameplay – it gets quite hard in the later rounds when, after dying, you lose so much of your acquired power. Love the sounds, fit the bill nicely!

Completely worth playing, if only to get the awesome dancing disco finale at the end of each level.

And par for the course, music selection never fails to amaze me Mr. Gray.

Thanks Loel! I figured it was only a matter of time before you’d find us here.

Very nice game indeed and it’s not too hard at all =D (I’m quite the fan of SHMUPS though, so that makes me kind of used to bullet-dodging and rapid gameplay).

The game doesn’t bore too easily because of the nice variety of enemies, the only thing that bothered me a bit is that at power-level 7 the power bar seems to get stuck at around 9/10′th of the bar and it just stays like that untill u die. I havent seen anyone else make this remark, so perhaps it’s just my comp.

Keep up the good work man!

Yeah, that’s totally busted. I wanted to fix that, but it was either do that or get in SFX. Next time!

This was brilliant- so much fun. I think it had a great concept that was executed simply and beautifully.

Nice little shooting game. It’s really cool.
I didn’t play it for too long though, since I pretty fast reached a point were nothing new happend and killing the same enemies over and over again got boring. I’d give it a 3.3/5

nice game, but ignoring clicks when the fps goes down is pretty fail … cannot shoot when there is too many people onscreen…
